Cultural Programs

At George Williams College, we are committed to enhancing the cultural and intellectual life of our guests and providing varied, accessible and affordable cultural experiences to participants of all ages and traditions. 

  • Music by the Lake—a summer concert series featuring top performing artists as well as an original opera production with young professional artists from across the country. Lakeside performances are held in The Ferro Pavilion, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer. This year's performances include "A Night on Broadway" featuring baritone Brian Stokes Mitchell with Paul Gemignani and Members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The John Jorgenson Quintet, Frank Almond and William Wolfram, Ann Hampton Callaway and Peter Frampton.
  • May Term—Unique courses developed by faculty for an intensive, in-depth study of stimulating topics, presented over a three-week period each May. This year, courses are being offered on both the Aurora and George Williams College campus and include Women in Leadership, Leading Non-Profit Organizations, Introduction to Photography and study abroad programs in London, Paris, Guatemala and Greece.
